My dear daughter,

I can’t help but wonder every day that you must be the cutest baby girl I’ve ever seen. You are also the baby with the strongest personality I have ever met. Most babies 4 months old or less have no personality.

I can already tell you are strong willed. You like to be able to see far, to perceive your whole environment, to watch the details, and that you’re very responsive to facial expressions and emotions.

You are curious and smart. Your motor skills are coming out fine. You can already grab and hold for a short time. You can touch my hand when I hold it up for you. You stretch when you know we are going to hold you up. You already know when to open your mouth wide to get the vitamin D drops.

It’s quite funny to play tongues with you, which means I show you my tongue and then you show you mine, and then we laugh.

Your laughs are coming out more frequently, and you like to intone your voice a lot. You like to make sure you are heard! And we love it.

Sometimes it is like you’re giving out sermons, commenting on a TV show or telling us about your day.

You are very strict about your preferences, which include being held standing up and sitting straight. You hate lying on your back if you are not sleeping. And it has not been easy so far to put you to sleep.

You don’t take kindly to delays when it’s breast milk time. You like to be near us, you like to participate while we are eating, with your smiles, your vocal inputs and your strong kicks against the bottom of your stroller. You are pretty strong in your hands and legs. You are a strong woman all around.

And I hope someday you will like to know you have forever changed our life, fulfilling it with happiness and tenderness. I don’t ever want my life to go back the way it was before.

Love,

Dad
