My dear daughter,

About our recent environmental and human tragedy: it became clear the country had a much greater need for well-paid and well-trained geologists than for mediocre, extremely well-paid judges and prosecutors. Not all our magistrates and their academic thesis were able to prevent that kind of tragedy from happening again.

Just recently a respectable, brave congressman, who worked tirelessly on the defense of socially oppressed minorities, such as LGBT people, had to abandon his public office and flee the country in fear of his life and his family’s. He was being threatened daily because of his work. There can be no greater damage to a democracy than this. Except for a full a dictatorial overturn.

Yet, the fact was celebrated by the President, and nothing happened. No rebuke from the mainstream press, no action whatsoever from the ones charged with invigilating the presidency.

There was also an appellate court judge who celebrated it on social media, she even stated people could hunt and shoot down the representative now that it has become easier to acquire firearms.

Guess who the country needed the most, the courageous congressman or judges like the one I mentioned? And we have a lot of judges like that.

Love,

Dad
